The Anaheim Cops 4 Kids (C4K) program was established to serve all children between the ages of 5 and 17 years old who live in or attend school in Anaheim. C4K aims to establish positive relationships among youth, police and the community at large.
C4K’s goals are to provide alternatives to gangs, drugs and other criminal activities through a vast array of programs. In particular, C4K provides a variety of cultural, educational and recreational activities for the youth of Anaheim. These diverse programs help youth develop a positive self-image and successful interpersonal skills which will encourage them to stay in school and play a constructive role in the community.
The Cops 4 Kids Junior Cadet program offers educational and physical activities for youth ages 8 through 13 while emphasizing respect, responsibility, and self-discipline. The Junior cadet program offers the following classroom topics: legal awareness, drug & gang awareness, leadership & team building activities, and homework assistance. The program includes physical fitness and military drills to improve self confidence, eating habits, self-esteem, leadership, and respect.
