  • Coronavirus Small-Business Resource Guide: Anaheim’s Economic Development Team has developed the Coronavirus Small-Business Resource Guide to provide our business community with the latest resources and information on supporting their business and employees. Together, the City of Anaheim, and its resource partners, are providing businesses with loan and grant resources, marketing opportunities and webinars to assist and support small businesses affected by coronavirus.   • California Entrepreneurship Task Force Coronavirus Rapid Response Virtual SessionsThe California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development Entrepreneurship Task Force has launched a series of virtual sessions to engage with fellow small-business owners and entrepreneurs throughout California. The state recognizes that it is critical that small businesses and entrepreneurs have access to information and resources, as well as connection to a community of fellow leaders to discuss issues, challenges and barriers. Virtual sessions are offered in English and Spanish. Find more information here.
  • Technology Tools for Small Businesses
    • Find free or discounted technology tools for small businesses including productivity tools, internet access and computer, phone, and data protection here.
  • Insurance Information for Small Businesses
    • Find information from the California Insurance Commissioner’s Office. View a fact sheet on business interruption insurance and other issues affecting California small businesses here.
  • Consumer Financial Relief Information and Advisories 
    • The state is working to soften the financial impact of coronavirus on residents who are struggling to pay their mortgage and bills. Californians who are struggling with the crisis may be eligible for the relief detailed on the webpage after contacting their financial institution. For more information, visit the webpage here.
  • Reduced Hours
    • Pandemic Unemployment Assistance: Business owners who are out of business or whose services are significantly reduced as a result of the pandemic are now eligible to file for Unemployment Insurance benefits. This new program assists unemployed business owners, self-employed individuals, independent contractors and individuals with a limited work history who are typically ineligible for state Unemployment Insurance benefits.
      • Eligible individuals can receive up to 39 weeks of benefits, depending on when reduced hours or closed business operations went into effect.

    • Work Sharing Program
      • Employers experiencing a slowdown in their businesses or services as a result of coronavirus’s impact on the economy may apply for the UI Work Sharing Program.
  •  Tax Assistance
    • Employers experiencing a hardship as a result of coronavirus may request up to a 60-day extension of time from the EDD to file their state payroll reports and/or deposit state payroll taxes without penalty or interest.
