Help! My Neighbor Has Memory Loss: Hybrid Event for Adults at Central

Tuesday, September 21, 2021

Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias currently affect 5.5 million Americans.   Here in Orange County, an estimated 84,000 individuals are either diagnosed or at a high risk for a cognitive disorder.  Given these numbers, it’s very likely you already know (or will know) a person with dementia -- being educated and prepared makes a powerful difference!

In this workshop, you will:
• Understand the difference between normal aging and more serious memory concerns.
• Learn how to connect and communicate more effectively with neighbors, friends, or family with memory loss.
• Discover how Alzheimer’s Orange County can help with their continuum of memory support services.

This is a hybrid workshop!  You may come in-person to the Library for the Zoom presentation or watch it from the comfort of your own home.

Presented in partnership with Alzheimer's Orange County.
