New Look, New Logo

Newsflashes_New Logo

The Anaheim Public Library is proud of the diverse services we provide which expand alongside the community as a center for learning and literacy.

What the logo represents:

  • Community - the logo resembles both the shape of an A and a house, which collectively represents the people of Anaheim.
  • Diversity - the color palette has been expanded, representing the various sources of knowledge and information of our globalized community.
  • Growth - the directional arrow points upwards, representing growth alongside our community as they achieve their literacy goals.

Our goal is to unite the seven library branches that serve the diverse communities across Anaheim. That said, we're taking a different approach from the generic "book" logo because we want a logo that represents our values in a more abstract, but inclusive way that doesn't overemphasize any one kind of media format. For one, the library must maintain relevancy and appeal to its users who live in a continually diversifying society driven by technology and digital media; and two, the previous logo did not represent our unique services and mission statement.
