Anaheim Fire & Rescue Will Hold Promotion and Graduation Ceremonies

ANAHEIM, Calif. (May 17, 2019) – Tomorrow morning, Friday, May 17, 2019, Anaheim Fire & Rescue will welcome 16 new Firefighters as we celebrate their graduation from our Fire Academy. City Leaders, family, and friends will gather with the graduates as they conclude their academy training and learn where their first shift assignments will be. The ceremony will be held at 8:30 am at the North Net Fire Training Center, 2400 E. Orangewood Avenue in Anaheim.

The graduates are:
Brent Basaites – Firefighter/Paramedic
Jonathan Burckle – Firefighter/Paramedic
Jeremy Ene – Firefighter
Amanda Hartel – Firefighter/Paramedic
Alexander Hicks – Firefighter
Ray Holley – Firefighter
Ryan Hurley – Firefighter/Paramedic
Ryan Kirrish – Firefighter/Paramedic
Michael Lemmon – Firefighter
Curtis Malloy – Firefighter
Gustavo Murillo-Castro – Firefighter
Jeffrey Newell – Firefighter
Michael Steeber – Firefighter
Cameron Trentini – Firefighter/Paramedic
Brandon Wooten – Firefighter
Corbin Youngberg – Firefighter/Paramedic

Later Friday afternoon, Anaheim Fire & Rescue will recognize 13 employees who have been promoted during the past year. The Promotion Ceremony will take place at 2:00 pm at the River Church, 201 E. Broadway in Anaheim.

The promotees are:
Mike Molloy – Deputy Chief
Michael Byard – Battalion Chief
Tim Sandifer – Battalion Chief
Mark Hernandez –Captain
Scott Mattis – Captain
Jamison Bennett – Engineer
Adriel Martinez – Engineer
Nolan Karns – Engineer
Michael White – Engineer
Sean Infante – Shift Supervisor (MetroNet)
Melissa Saucedo – P/T Dispatcher II
Vailani Perreira – F/T dispatcher
Andy Torres – Community Risk Reduction I

Interim Fire Chief Pat Russell said, “I have had the opportunity to work with fire service agencies across the country and I take great pride in the fact that Anaheim Fire & Rescue is able
to recruit and promote the absolute best the fire service has to offer. We owe it to our community to provide the highest level of service and it is these employees we recognize today
who will help us do so as we move into the future.”

The promotion ceremony will recognize the full spectrum of careers available in the fire service industry. For fire suppression, honorees included the ranks of Engineer, Captain, Battalion
Chief, and Deputy Chief. Key roles in fire prevention and community risk reduction including Community Risk Reduction Officer, as well as a Shift Supervisor and Dispatchers from Metro
Net Fire Dispatch will also be honored.
