ANAHEIM, Calif. (October 30, 2020) – At about 2:30 a.m. on Friday, October 30, Anaheim police responded to a bar parking lot in the 1700 block of S. Euclid Street to investigate a report of a stabbing. Officers learned that the victim, 22-year-old La Habra resident Cody Christopher Michael Stewart, had been stabbed at least one time during an altercation with another man. After the stabbing, Stewart’s friends drove him away from the scene and met officers in the 1300 block of N. Anaheim Boulevard. Officers provided medical aid to Stewart until Anaheim Fire & Rescue arrived and transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident and have arrested a man they believe stabbed Stewart. Detectives are not releasing the man’s identity yet because the investigation is ongoing.
