| ANAHEIM, CA - (June 2, 2008) - Train track resurfacing will cause the closure of Orangethorpe Avenue, between Chapman Avenue and Miller Street, June 2 -9. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway Company will oversee the resurfacing, which will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2.
During construction, alternative east/west routes include Crowther Avenue, Chapman Avenue, Alta Vista Street, and Miraloma Avenue. Pursuant to Federal Law, train horns will sound throughout the day and night during construction activities to ensure the safety of BNSF workers.
Sign boards will be posted along Orangethorpe Avenue one week in advance to notify drivers about the closure of Orangethorpe, and detour routes will be implemented during construction.
