The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will present the City of Anaheim with a Brownfields Assessment Grant at a check presentation ceremony. This grant will allow the City to assess an area formerly occupied by the Home Oil Company as part of the Ross Park Expansion Project. This study will identify the extent of contamination and determine the best way to clean up the site for public use.
Ross Park currently is home to basketball, soccer, softball and baseball leagues. After assessment and site clean-up, the park will increase in size from its current 5.5 acres to a total of 9 acres.
