Anaheim's Green Fair to Feature Latest in Sustainable Products, Technology
ANAHEIM, CA - (June 16, 2008) - The City of Anaheim will be hosting a first-of-its-kind Green Lifestyle Informational Fair from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on June 21 at Boysen Park, located at 951 State College Boulevard. In addition to learning about the latest in sustainable products and technology from City departments and local vendors, attendees will also have an opportunity to win a variety of prizes, including an energy-efficient refrigerator, $250 gift certificates, home energy kits and more. Anaheim residents who are considering their next home improvement project are invited to learn about new energy-efficient materials, purchasing tips and simple ways to save money and energy, as well as take advantage of all of Anaheim’s Green Connection incentives.

They will also have an opportunity to register for Anaheim Public Utilities’ $50,000 Home Energy Makeover Contest in which one Anaheim resident will be selected to receive up to $50,000 worth of energy-efficient upgrades, such as a new air conditioner and furnace, increased insulation, high-performance windows, air sealing, lighting and energy-efficient appliances.

As an added incentive, the first 250 Anaheim residents to RSVP on the website will be eligible for hourly drawings to win $250 gift certificates from Ganahl Lumber Company.

Vendor and exhibit booths include: City departments—Planning; Fire; Utilities (Advantage Services, TreePower, Home Investment Package); and Recycle Anaheim; Local vendors—JTM Nutrients (organic soil and plant enhancements); Ganahl Lumber Company (sustainable grown and treated wood); Noritz (tankless water heaters); Envision Solar (solar panels); Wheeler Construction (green home improvements); Spiraled Stem Floral Designs (organic flower arrangements); and Consolidated Reprographics (paper management/recycling).
