ANAHEIM, CA - (June 18, 2008) - The East Anaheim Branch Library celebrates its first anniversary on Saturday, June 21, and the entire community is welcome to the festivities.
The celebration, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. that day, will be open to visitors of all ages, with programs and activities geared for children. Light refreshments will be served.
Scheduled events include a Busy Bee story and craft time for preschoolers (11 a.m.), a musical performance for all ages by Heebie & Jeebie (2 p.m.), and a cake walk (3 p.m.). A library map hunt for kids will take place throughout the day.
In addition, sign-ups will be open for the free Catch the Reading Bug Summer Reading Club, for children and teens.
The East Anaheim Branch Library is one of many new neighborhood facilities opened during Anaheim’s sesquicentennial year as part of the City’s capital improvement campaign. The library offers adult and children’s books, DVDs, magazines/newspapers, children’s computer Discovery Stations, internet access, wireless capability, study rooms, audio materials and reference services.
The East Anaheim Branch Library is located at 8201 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road. Regular library hours are Monday – Wednesday 10 a.m.- 8 p.m., Thursday and Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m.- 5 p.m. The library is closed on Fridays.
