| ANAHEIM, CA - (August 7, 2008) - Mariachi Divas, the popular all-female, multi-cultural ensemble, bring their popular musical sound to Anaheim’s Pearson Park Amphitheatre Saturday, Aug. 9. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m., and tickets are available for the entire family to enjoy a summer night under the stars.
The group, founded in 1999 by trumpet player Cindy Shea, has been featured at the Honda Center, Universal Amphitheatre, Staples Center, Greek Theatre, Santa Barbara Bowl, the Los Angeles Forum for the 2005 Premio La Gente live awards show, and the Los Angeles Shrine for the 2006 Alma Awards. Since 2003, Mariachi Divas has been seen strolling and playing for guests throughout the streets of Disneyland and California Adventure.
Mariachi Divas has also accompanied Grammy winning artists such as Joan Sebastian, Jenny Rivera, Marco Antonio Solis, Pablo Montero, and Paulina Rubio. In 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2007 the Divas have showcased their innovative sounds at the NAMM SHOW in Anaheim.
