| ANAHEIM, CA - (August 13, 2008) - It’s “City of Anaheim Night” at the Orange County Flyers baseball game this Thursday, Aug. 14, and Anaheim residents are taking part in the pre-game ceremonies.
First pitch: Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle.
Batboy: Warren Garten, age 10, a catcher and pitcher with the North Anaheim Little League. He has been playing for four years.
Batgirl: Victoria Merida, age 14, a pitcher and shortstop with the East Anaheim Softball League. She has been playing for nine years.
National Anthem: Carrie J. Nocella, who serves as Manager, Government Relations for the Disneyland Resort.
The Orange County Flyers will play the Edmonton Cracker Cats in the 7:05 p.m. game. The Flyers play at Goodwin Field, on the Cal State Fullerton campus, and are managed by National Baseball Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter. Goodwin Field is located at 800 N. State College Ave. in Fullerton.
