| ANAHEIM, CA - (September 17, 2008) - The City of Anaheim continues its outreach to strengthen neighborhoods by hosting a Neighborhood Connection Fair, to take place on Saturday, Sept. 20. Residents will have the opportunity to learn more about City and community programs which provide resources for an enhanced quality of life and residential living in Anaheim.
The Neighborhood Connection Fair, which will take place in the Jax Market parking lot (401 N. East Street), is an opportunity for residents to reinforce neighborhood ties and to speak directly to City representatives and community groups. The fair will run from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
City of Anaheim departments as well as community groups will have booths at the Neighborhood Connection Fair. The departments and groups include Anaheim’s Public Works department to present information on recycling, and Anaheim’s Community Services department to answer questions about the After School Youth Development program, the Downtown Youth Center, the Downtown Community Center, and Neighborhood Services. Faith-based groups will also be on hand to support the community’s efforts, in addition to the Anaheim YMCA, YWCA of North Orange County, CHOC, Eli Home, the Family Justice Center, the Anaheim Police Activities League, Familias Unidas, the Orange County Health Care Agency, and 211 OC, plus other organizations.
