Spooktacular Halloween Parade Highlights Anaheim's Fall Festival
David Henrie, Teen Star of Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place," Named As Parade Grand Marshal.
ANAHEIM, CA - (October 20, 2008) - David Henrie, the popular teen star of Disney Channel’s hit show “Wizards of Waverly Place” will be joined by hundreds of goblins, princesses, super heroes and more at Anaheim’s annual Spooktacular Halloween Parade, taking place Saturday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m., in Downtown Anaheim. Henrie is the Grand Marshal of this year’s Spooktacular Halloween Parade, presented by the Disneyland Resort and Time Warner Cable.

Anaheim Mayor and City Council members, along with Federal and State elected officials have been invited to join Henrie in the parade procession. The parade, which highlights Anaheim’s traditional Fall Festival, will feature a mix of floats, cars and four bands from Anaheim’s high schools. In addition, Radio Disney AM 1110 which will host a booth of games and prizes prior to the parade, and during the parade will have a car traveling along the parade route with representatives interacting with the children.

The three-day Fall Festival celebration includes a family festival, Masquerade Jubilee, pancake breakfast, children’s costume contest, and the parade. Music, food, games, arts and crafts and rides provide plenty of entertainment for the entire family.

Henrie, 19, is currently involved in multiple television projects. He plays a lead role as older brother Justin in Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place,” and he will be the lead in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie "Dadnapped." Henrie had a recurring role as Larry – a band mate friends of Cory's -- in the hit series "That's So Raven," and has a recurring role in the series "How I Met Your Mother." Among his other credits are lead roles in "Method and Red" and "The Pitts," both for Fox, and guest starring roles on "Cold Case, " "House," "N.C.I.S.," "Without a Trace" and "Judging Amy." He also co-starred in the Hallmark movies "Monster Maker" and "Dead Hollywood Moms Society."

The Spooktacular Halloween Parade is a long-standing tradition in Anaheim, dating back to 1924 when the first grand marshals were baseball legends Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson.

Children are invited to attend the parade in costume. Families can volunteer to join in the parade by arriving no later than 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and reporting to the Downtown Community Center. Those wishing to participate will be provided with a costume.

This year’s Spooktacular Halloween Parade is presented by the Disneyland Resort and Time Warner Cable. Additional sponsors supporting this community event are the Honda Center and Anaheim Ducks, Northgate Markets, and Anaheim Public Utilities.

Lincoln and Broadway), and are free of charge, unless otherwise noted. Tickets are required for the Family
Festival carnival rides, and food will be available for purchase.

Anaheim Blvd., and end at Lincoln Blvd.
