| ANAHEIM, CA - (November 4, 2008) - Please be advised that Sycamore Street will be temporarily closed at the Metrolink railroad crossing between Pauline and Vine Streets for maintenance activities on the weekend schedule only. Work will take place on the following dates and times:
• Weekend - Friday evening November 7th starting at 7 p.m. and continue through to Sunday, November 9th at 7 p.m. – FULL ROAD CLOSURE.
• Weekdays- Monday, November 10th through Wednesday, November 12th from 8 p.m. – 4 a.m. the following morning – NO STREET CLOSURE REQUIRED
Metrolink maintenance crews will be replacing the road crossing that includes removal and replacement of ties, rail and crossing panels. The work will involve the use of heavy machinery causing vibration, sparks from the de-stressing and bright lights during evening and early morning hours. There will be noise from back up alarms as well as dust in the immediate vicinity. The City’s noise ordinance prohibits excessive noise between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Signage will be placed to direct vehicles and pedestrians to the appropriate detour route.
Detour description: The prescribed detours are as follows: Eastbound traffic on Sycamore Street will be diverted southbound on Olive Street, eastbound on Lincoln Avenue and northbound on East Street back to Sycamore Street. Subsequently, westbound traffic on Sycamore Street will be diverted southbound on East Street, westbound on Lincoln Avenue and northbound on Olive Street back to Sycamore Street.
