| ANAHEIM, CA - (November 20, 2008) - FEMA representatives are now available at the East Anaheim Gymnasium Local Assistance Center (LAC) to assist residents with information and aid due to the Triangle Complex Fire.
Assistance for affected individuals and families can include as required:
- Rental payments for temporary housing for those whose homes are unlivable.
- Grants for home repairs, replacement of essential household items, personal property and help meet medical, dental, funeral, transportation and other serious disaster-related not covered by insurance or other federal, state and charitable aid programs.
- Unemployment payments
- Low-interest loans to cover residential and small business, small agricultural cooperatives, private and non-profit organizations.
- Loans up to $2 million for small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes that have suffered disaster-related cash flow problems and need funds for working capital to recover from the disaster's adverse economic impact.
- Other relief programs: Crisis counseling for those traumatized by the disaster; income tax assistance for filing casualty losses; advisory assistance for legal, veterans benefits and social security matters.

At the LAC, City of Anaheim residents can receive information from several City department, including community services, public utilities and public works .
The LAC is located at the East Anaheim Gymnasium, 8165 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road, Anaheim, 92808 (east of S. Weir Canyon Road). More than 30 agencies are on-site to provide much needed information for those residents who experienced loss or damage to their homes. The LAC, which opened on Tuesday morning, is open to all residents of the surrounding communities, and will remain open for as long as is needed.
