Anaheim Mayor Appointed to Governor’s Commission to Modernize California’s Revenue Laws
ANAHEIM, CA - (December 12, 2008) - Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today appointed Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle to the newly created Commission on the 21st Century Economy, a 12-member bi-partisan commission to examine and modernize California’s tax system.

Mayor Pringle, a former member of the California legislature and Speaker of the Assembly, has played major roles in drafting state budgets and has extensive knowledge of the state’s tax structure.  As the commission’s only local elected official, Mayor Pringle also brings an important perspective on the impact of state tax policies on cities and counties.

Mayor Pringle has served as Mayor of Anaheim, California's 10th largest city, since 2002.  Schwarzenegger previously appointed Pringle to the California High Speed Rail Authority and the Public Employee Post-Employment Benefits Commission.  Pringle runs Curt Pringle and Associates, a public affairs and consulting firm based in Anaheim.
