ANAHEIM, CA - (July 23, 2009) - The City of Anaheim, Angels Baseball and Major League Baseball (MLB) today unveiled the official logo for the 2010 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, to take place in Anaheim on July 13, 2010.   Anaheim is represented in the logo’s design with the “Big A” halo encircling the tip of a beveled red star.

In attendance for the unveiling at Angel Stadium of Anaheim included the Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle; MLB President and Chief Operating Officer Bob DuPuy; Angels Owner Arturo “Arte” Moreno; and Angels President Dennis Kuhl.

“We are pleased to welcome the world to the City of Anaheim for the 2010 Major League Baseball All-Star Game,” said Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle.  “Millions of travelers visit Anaheim each year, and we plan to make this a memorable experience for all involved.  The 2010 All-Star Game is another great milestone for our city, and we look forward to celebrating this extraordinary event.”

The 2010 All-Star Game will be the third Midsummer Classic played in Anaheim, as the City hosted the 1989 and 1967 All-Star Games.  All-Star Fest will permeate throughout Anaheim the week prior to the Game, with numerous activities planned by the City and MLB.  Thousands of fans will visit Anaheim for this event, with millions more watching on television.  Local charitable organizations will also benefit from the community service traditionally surrounding the All-Star Game.

Moreno said: "Angels Baseball is proud to host the 2010 All-Star Game. Our fans, among the most loyal and passionate in baseball, will have the opportunity to see the greatest players in the game. I would like to thank Commissioner Bud Selig, MLB President and COO Bob DuPuy, and Major League Baseball for this honor and for the opportunity to showcase Angel Stadium and our community to baseball fans across the country. As a result of All-Star Summer, tens of millions of dollars will be generated into the local business community, with several million also dispersed to worthwhile charities on a local and national level."
