Anaheim Central Library to be Renovated Teen/adult library services temporarily relocated during construction; Children's room will remain open at Central Library location
ANAHEIM, CA - (November 4, 2009) - On Monday November 9, the Anaheim Central Library (500 W. Broadway) facility will begin a renovation project, and during the six months of construction, Central Library services will be coordinated between two locations.  Please note the temporary changes.

During construction, the Mary Nocolai Children’s Room at Central Library will remain open and will continue to provide service to families, parents and children from preschool through 8th grade.

Adult/teen library services, however, will be relocated to a temporary facility, at 290 S. Anaheim Blvd., which is two blocks east of Central Library and next to City Hall.  Public parking at this facility will be available at the corner of Anaheim Blvd. and 42nd St., as well in the parking structure behind City Hall.

The adult/teen library facility will offer computer use, but Wi-Fi service will not be available.  This facility will house selected popular and new books, magazines and DVDs for browsing and borrowing.  The entire collection will not be relocated, but individual titles can be requested in advance at either facility or online and picked up the next day from either the Anaheim Blvd. or the Broadway facility.  Please call before pick-up to ensure the book is available (714-765-1810).  An exterior book drop will be available at both locations.

Hours at the Central Library (500 S. Broadway) housing the Children’s Room will be:
          Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday:  10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
          Thursday, Friday:  11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
