ANAHEIM, CA - (January 8, 2010) - The City of Anaheim has announced the dates and locations of its quarterly District Neighborhood Council meetings. The meetings, which are open to the public, focus on the needs of individual neighborhoods, as well as foster community involvement. Topics this month include updates on the 2010 U.S. Census, Code Enforcement, transportation and the Anaheim Police Department.
The District Neighborhood Council is part of the Anaheim Neighborhood Improvement Program that uses an inter-departmental approach to improve the livability of Anaheim’s neighborhoods. Neighborhood improvement is accomplished by creating partnerships between neighborhood “stakeholders” (City departments, residents, property owners, school officials, the religious community, business community and non-profit organizations). This partnership develops a long term vision for each neighborhood’s success.
