| Anaheim Director Natalie Meeks Named Woman Of The Year by the OC Chapter of The Women's Transportation Seminar | ||||||||||||

ANAHEIM, CA - (November 22, 2010) - City of Anaheim Public Works Director Natalie Meeks has been named Woman of the Year of the Orange County Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS-OC), it was announced by the City and the WTS-OC.
Meeks was selected for this award based on her leadership in the transportation industry and contributions to Orange County. Under her guidance, the Public Works Department is currently taking the lead in four major projects that will provide residents and visitors greater options for traveling in and around Anaheim: The Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), Anaheim Rapid Connection (ARC), AConnext.com, and the Gene Autry Way overpass project. Anaheim is fortunate to have Natalie as part of its leadership team.” “Natalie Meeks plays an integral part in some of the most regionally and nationally significant transportation projects, including the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, the California High-Speed Rail, and numerous goods movement improvement initiatives,” said WTS-OC President Cherie Eifler. “We are delighted to recognize her contributions to our industry with our highest achievement award.” Meeks, who has been with the City of Anaheim for 24 years, was appointed to her current position in June 2007 and is responsible for overseeing operations of 250 employees and a $240 million budget.
