ANAHEIM, CA - (November 24, 2010) - Anaheim citizens and guests can enjoy upcoming tree lighting ceremonies to prepare for the holiday season.
Friday, Dec. 3 at Twila Reid Park
3100 W. Orange (between Beach and Western)
The West Anaheim Neighborhood Development (WAND) Council invites the community to the 13th Annual Holiday Magic Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event includes a Christmas tree lighting ceremony starting at 5:30 p.m., with entertainment at 6 p.m. Guests will welcome in the Christmas season with music, a visit from Santa, crafts, warm food and beverages, plus an opportunity for a child to be a part of the community Christmas tree lighting.
The tree lighting event will also serve as a canned food drive, with donations to be shared with a needy organization. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the canned food drive. Attendees are also advised to dress warmly and bring their own chairs or blankets.

Saturday, Dec. 4 at Downtown Anaheim

The young and young-at-heart can enjoy a day and evening full of Christmas and holiday cheer at the 17th Annual Nutcracker Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Village. From 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Downtown Anaheim will be transformed into winter fun. The Christmas tree, located in front of Anaheim Ice, will be lit at 5:45 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a free snow play area, shopping and international food. Bring your mittens and boots, and of course, a camera to capture all the memories.
