ANAHEIM, CA - (April 15, 2011) - Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait provided the following statement regarding the NBA’s announcement to extend the deadline for the Sacramento Kings' filing of relocation to Anaheim:
"Anaheim is primed and ready to host a professional basketball team," said Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait. "We understand that the relocation committee is balancing a variety of issues as they make this decision and have decided to take a little more time. We remain hopeful and optimistic that the NBA will have a franchise playing at Anaheim’s Honda Center in the near future."
