ANAHEIM, CA - (May 2, 2011) - Artists interested in providing public art for the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) can now participate in a Requests for Qualification (RFQ) solicitation process. A variety of creative and imaginative artworks are planned to be included in the ARTIC Project. The RFQ can be downloaded at www.ARTICinfo.com.
"ARTIC itself will be an iconic design. The addition of public art will add to the cultural importance of this exciting project," said Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait. Artists interested in submitting a Statement of Qualification (SOQ) are encouraged to attend a Pre-Submittal Conference to be held at the City of Anaheim Gordon Hoyt Conference Center (201 S. Anaheim Blvd., 2nd floor, Anaheim, CA 92805) on May 18 at 1 p.m., or by joining the webcast conference (Go to ARTICinfo.com for a link to the web conference). Attendance at the Pre-Submittal Conference is not mandatory, but recommended. Questions regarding this can be directed to Michael McAlpine at michael.mcalpine@stvinc.com. Artwork being sought in this RFQ will be installed on the site or within the terminal building in early to mid 2014. Individual budgets for the artwork can range from $100,000 to $900,000. The deadline for submission of proposals is July 1 at 4 p.m. For additional information or questions about the project, visit www.ARTICinfo.com, call the project helpline at 1-877-99-ARTIC, or e-mail info@ARTICinfo.com.
