ANAHEIM, CA - (January 25, 2012) - The inaugural Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend will take place this weekend, Jan. 27-29, as a new offering in runDisney’s series of events in Anaheim.

On Sunday, Jan. 29, thousands of Tinker Bell Half Marathon participants will run on Anaheim city streets, past landmarks and entertainment stations, and through the Disneyland Resort on a course different from the Disneyland Half Marathon event, traditionally held over the Labor Day weekend. Tinker Bell Half Marathon road closures will take place on Sunday morning, Jan. 29 only. Please note the following road closure schedule.* Commuters are encouraged to plan accordingly.

• Disneyland Dr. (12:00–10:00 a.m.) between Katella and Magic Way
• Disneyland Dr. (5:30-8:00 a.m.) between Magic Way and Ball Rd. (Access to Mickey and Friends Parking only)
• Ball Rd. (5:30-8:30 a.m.) between Disneyland Dr. and Harbor Blvd.
• Harbor Blvd. (5:30-6:45 a.m.) between Ball Rd. and Disney Way (runners will continue the course through the Disneyland Resort property; I-5 fwy northbound off-ramp to south Harbor Blvd. closed between 5:30-6:45 a.m., and I-5 fwy southbound off-ramp closed between 5:30-8:30 a.m.)
• Walnut St. (5:30-8:00 a.m.) between Magic Way and Ball Rd.
• Ball Rd. (5:30-8:00 a.m.) between Walnut St. and Manchester Ave.
• Manchester Ave. (5:30-8:00 a.m.) between Ball Rd and Broadway
• Broadway (5:30-8:30 a.m.) between Manchester Ave. and Harbor Blvd.
• Harbor Blvd. (5:30-8:30 a.m.) between Broadway and Center Street
• Center Street (5:30-8:30 a.m.) between Harbor Blvd. and Anaheim Blvd.
• Anaheim Blvd. (5:30-8:30 a.m.) between Center Street and Broadway
• Broadway (5:30-8:30 a.m.) between Anaheim Blvd. and Harbor Blvd.
• Harbor Blvd. (5:30-8:30 a.m.) between Broadway and Ball Rd.
• Ball Rd. (5:30-9:00 a.m.) between Harbor Blvd. and Anaheim Blvd.
• Anaheim Blvd. (5:30-9:00 a.m.) between Ball Rd and Cerritos Ave.
• Cerritos Ave. (5:30-9:00 a.m.) between Anaheim Blvd. and Lewis St.
• Lewis St. (5:30-9:00 a.m.) between Cerritos Ave. and Katella Ave.
• Katella Ave. (5:30-9:30 a.m.) between Lewis St and Disney Way
• Disney Way (5:30-9:30 a.m.) between Katella Ave. and Harbor Blvd.
• Race concludes on the Disneyland Resort Property

The Tinker Bell Half Marathon weekend includes The Neverland 5K on Friday night, kids’ races on Saturday and the Tinker Bell Half Marathon race on Sunday. In addition, a health and fitness expo featuring merchandise products, apparel and guest speakers will take place at the Disneyland Hotel Friday and Saturday.
