Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait and Council to Host Special Meeting on Aug. 8
ANAHEIM, CA - (July 31, 2012) - Anaheim residents are invited to join Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait and City Council members at a special meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 4 p.m.  The meeting, to take place at Anaheim High School’s Cook Auditorium, will allow residents the opportunity to offer public comments on issues affecting Anaheim.  Anaheim High School is located at 811 W. Lincoln Ave.

In response to events that have occurred in the past several weeks, city leaders recognize that there is a need for additional community dialogue and discussion.  Members of the Anaheim community are invited to come and present their thoughts, ideas and recommendations on ways to help improve the city and its relationship with its people, their neighborhoods and their government.

The Mayor and Council will also discuss city business upon conclusion of the public comments portion of the meeting. Public comments will be heard upon the opening of the meeting, with each speaker limited to no more than three (3) minutes apiece.  This will allow for maximum participation. In addition, comments can be submitted in writing prior to the community meeting at cityclerk@anaheim.net.  All written comments will be provided to the City Council and entered into the official record.

The meeting is open to the public and Anaheim residents are encouraged to attend to participate in their city government.  The meeting will also be streamed live at www.anaheim.net.
