ANAHEIM, CA - (October 8, 2012) - The City of Anaheim’s next series of quarterly District Neighborhood meetings will be held this month, and residents are welcome to attend to get to know their neighbors and to learn what is happening in their own neighborhood. City staff members will be available to speak directly with residents at the free meetings. The meetings, which are held in the West, East, Central and South districts of the City, are open to the public and all are welcome to participate.
Meetings dates are as follows: East District Neighborhood Council Meeting Central District Neighborhood Council Meeting South District Neighborhood Council Meeting The Anaheim Neighborhood Improvement Program, of which the District Meetings are a part, utilizes an inter-departmental approach to improve the livability of Anaheim’s neighborhoods. Utilizing four neighborhood districts and interdepartmental teams assigned to each district, neighborhood improvement is accomplished by creating partnerships between neighborhood “stakeholders” (City departments, residents, property owners, school officials, the religious community, business community and non-profit organizations). Neighborhood Councils bring people together to work on issues of concern and identify actions to be taken to address them.
