|Anaheim Issues RFP For Naming Sponsor Consulting Services For ARTIC Program|
ANAHEIM, CA - (November 7, 2013) - ARTIC – the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center – is halfway towards its completion, construction in full swing and commuters along Katella Ave. and the 57 freeway can see the iconic structure taking shape. By the end of next year, commuters will be able to board trains, buses and other modes of transportation to connect to their destinations, conveniently, seamlessly and efficiently.
The City of Anaheim is now seeking innovative consultant services to secure naming rights and corporate sponsorship agreement(s) for ARTIC through the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) from interested firms.
The selected consultant will develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to identify and solicit potential naming sponsor(s) as well as negotiate naming sponsor agreement(s) prior to ARTIC’s opening in November 2014.
Interested parties can attend a pre-submittal workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at JT Schmid’s Restaurant (2610 E. Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA 92806). The workshop will begin at 3 p.m. and City and ARTIC project staff will be available to answer questions. To confirm attendance, please email ArticPM@anaheim.net no later than Tuesday, Nov. 12. All RFP proposals are due by Thursday, Dec. 5 at 12 p.m. PST.
ARTIC is in a prime location in the heart of Orange County adjacent to Katella Ave. and the 57 freeway, which carries average daily vehicle traffic of approximately 265,000 and 52,000 vehicles, respectively. ARTIC’s adjacent world class event venues, Angel Stadium of Anaheim and Honda Center, boast approximate annual attendance levels of 3.4 Million and 2.1 Million, respectively. Upon opening of ARTIC the City anticipates approximately 10,000 daily riders from all the transportation modes, which is projected to increase to approximately 15,000 in 2035. ARTIC is designed as a LEED Platinum facility, and will also include retail, restaurant, interior and exterior plaza areas, community public art and landscaping.
