|City Of Anaheim Encourages Continued Support For Victims Of Super Typhoon Haiyan|
ANAHEIM, CA - (November 18, 2013) - City of Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait offered the following statement for continued support of residents in the Philippines affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan.
“The images we have seen and reports published following Super Typhoon Haiyan are heartbreaking and devastating, and on behalf of my Council colleagues and the entire city, our thoughts and prayers go to the men, women and children in the Philippines affected by this natural disaster,” said Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait. “Anaheim is a city of kindness, and when we see others in need, we want to help. Our friends in the Philippines have many challenges ahead of them, but with the help of others – such as ourselves here in Anaheim – they can begin to heal. For anyone able and willing to help, I encourage you to do so. My Council colleagues and I thank you.”
For your consideration, the American Red Cross is one such organization offering services and goods to those affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan.
