Continuing a longstanding tradition amongst mayors, if the Angels defeat the Red Sox, Mayor Menino has offered to send Mayor Pringle a Legal Seafoods dinner comprised of four fresh, live Legal lobsters; 36 Littleneck steamer clams; four pints of our award- winning New England clam chowder with oyster crackers; bibs, claw- crackers, wetnaps and cooking instructions. Mayor Menino is also including a feast from Dunkin Donuts, including: 11 lbs. of 'America's Best Coffee' and 11 Boston Kreme Donuts.

If Boston defeats the Angels, Mayor Pringle will send Mayor Menino a crate of oranges, a crate of Anaheim chile peppers, a bottle of California red wine from The Catch Restaurant and a keg of Anaheim Pale Ale from JT Schmid's.

"This is the first Anaheim Angels team to win the tough American League Western Division in 18 seasons. And, we are keenly aware that Boston stopped our drive to the World Series that year," said Mayor Pringle. "We are excited and proud that our Anaheim Angels have returned to the post-season and look forward to a hard-fought series with the formidable Boston Red Sox."

Games Two of the American League Division Series will be played at Angel Stadium of Anaheim on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Game Three will be played Friday, Oct. 8 at Boston's Fenway Park. Game Four, if necessary, also will be played in Boston on Saturday, Oct. 9, and Game Five in Anaheim on Sunday, Oct. 10.
