| ANAHEIM, CA - (June 19, 2006) - The winners in the City of Anaheim's inaugural "The Big Picture" Photo Contest, sponsored by Photomation, will be recognized by the City Council and presented with awards tomorrow, June 20, at City Hall.
Awards will be presented to the following professional photographers:
Jerry Moran - First Place, People; Runner Up, Nature/Landscape; Runner Up Sports/Entertainment Terry Reinbold - First Place, Cityscape ZoeAnn Tackis - First Place, Nature/Landscape Azariah Herrera - First Place, Sports/Entertainment Kris Alana - Runner Up, Cityscape
Awards will be presented to the following amateur photographers: Jessica Baumgarter - First Place, People Christine Spidell - First Place, Cityscape; First Place, Sports/Entertainment Tom Griffithe - First Place, Nature/Landscape Erica Ratzon - Runner Up, People Marlene Denney - Runner Up, Cityscape Raquel Richardson - Runner Up, Cityscape Theresa Vaughn - Runner Up, Nature/Landscape Rob Rohm - Runner Up, Sports/Entertainment
Photos will be displayed in the City Hall lobby, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd., beginning June 20. They can also be viewed online at www.anaheim.net.
"The Big Picture" Photo Contest was designed to highlight extraordinary images of everyday life in Anaheim. All winners of the photo contest will receive gift certificates to Photomation, Anaheim's oldest and largest photo imaging company. The company offers custom framing, banners, color mural prints, CD/DVD authoring and duplication, mounting and finishing services and more.
Photos were judged by a panel of professional photographers and community members including DBS Photo's Henry DiRocco, landscape photographer Warren Marr, Anaheim Arts Council member Andrea Manes, Assistant City Manager Tom Wood and Anaheim resident Kyle Pringle.
