| ANAHEIM, CA - (August 29, 2006) - Residents and businesses near the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim are being alerted to expect increased traffic in the area on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 5 and 6. Ample travel time on those days is recommended.
The increase in traffic is due to the two-day "Get Motivated" seminar being held at the Pond. A matinee baseball game on Wednesday, September 6 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim is also expected to contribute to the conditions.
The heaviest traffic is expected between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and again between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Arrowhead Pond is working to minimize traffic impact, but travelers are advised to be prepared for delays.
Travelers are also advised to be on alert for increased traffic on Saturday, September 9 during the Mariachi Fest, and the weekend of September 15-17, during which both the two-day Mexican Independence celebration and the Disney Half Marathon will take place. City staff and traffic personnel will be on hand at all of these events to minimize impact on local residents, businesses and visitors. Media Contact: Ruth Ruiz 714.765.5060 more city news
