| ANAHEIM, CA - (September 6, 2007) - The Anaheim Ducks have made arrangements for the Stanley Cup to be available for public viewing and photos on September 11, 2007 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Anaheim City Hall, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd. After the viewing, the trophy and representatives from the Anaheim Ducks will be present at the 5 p.m. Anaheim City Council meeting for a special presentation and announcement.
The City of Anaheim is proud to be the home of the 2007 Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks took home the National Hockey League championship defeating the Ottawa Senators in a 6-2 victory in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final in front of 17,372 hometown fans at the City-owned Honda Center. The Ducks’ victory marks the first time in NHL history that a California team has won the coveted Stanley Cup.
Also on September 11, the Anaheim Ducks will open its 14th Training Camp at Anaheim ICE. The team will hold two simultaneous practice sessions, one on each sheet of ice (NHL and Olympic size) at 9:45 a.m. The club will also scrimmage at 10:45 a.m. All of the Ducks’ practices at Anaheim ICE this season will be open to the public and free of charge. Anaheim ICE is located at 300 West Lincoln Avenue in Anaheim, just west of City Hall.
