Anaheim’s second annual photo contest, “The Big Picture,” was held during National Photography Month in May to capture extraordinary images of everyday life in Anaheim. The purpose of the event was for amateur and professional photographers to take unique and extraordinary pictures of the City. As an Anaheim 150 signature event, a new category was added to the contest, Historical- Honoring the Past, in which pictures must have been taken at least 50 years ago. This added category was supplemental to this year’s photo contest theme, History in the Making, chosen to represent Anaheim’s look back at 150 years of success, creativity and imagination.
