The Housing Element is one of the seven state mandated elements of the City of Anaheim’s General Plan and provides the framework to address the existing and projected housing needs of all economic segments of our community. Under state law, the Housing Element helps ensure that cities adopt land use plans and regulations that encourage housing development that meets local needs.

Current Status
The City of Anaheim Planning Department has started the process of updating the City’s next Housing Element, which will cover the 2014-2021 planning period. During the update process, planning staff will host informational meetings and seek public input on the Housing Element. Information on future meetings and/or workshops will be posted on this webpage.
