Coming Up Roses
The City of Anaheim would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone that decorated the City's 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade float entry "All-Star Dreams."
Your time and dedication to the success of the float is greatly appreciated.
Together with Angels Baseball and Major League Baseball, , the City of Anaheim
marked its 17th entry in the Rose Parade® with a float honoring the return of
MLB’s midsummer All-Star Game to Anaheim in 2010.
Anaheim’s 2010 Rose Parade® Float
Angel Stadium of Anaheim will become a field of dreams – All-Star Dreams, to be exact -- when the City and the ballpark host the annual Major League Baseball All Star Game in 2010. The City’s 17th Rose Parade entry salutes that epic meeting of the finest players of the American League and the National League with a stylistic presentation of the stadium, sporting the logo of the All-Star Game and proudly displaying the pennants of each professional baseball franchise. The haloed "A" of the Angels looms high above the stadium replica, flanked appropriately at the front by sculpted roses and at the rear by palm trees, and of course, the oranges of Orange County.
Major League Baseball will bring its fan-favorite 81st All-Star Game to Anaheim on July 13, 2010. This will be the third time the All-Star Game will be played in Anaheim. The first game played at the “Big A” was on July 11, 1967, and the second on July 11, 1989. The 2010 season will also be the Angels’ 50th anniversary, and the 45th season the team has played at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
