WATER ASSESSMENT FEES

TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE
Please contact the Public Utilities Department, Customer Services Division at (714) 765-3300 to apply for temporary water service.

WATER IMPROVEMENT / LARGE TRACT

Fees for Utility labor are as follows:

  1. Plan Check Fee: The actual direct labor costs incurred by the utility; deposit required.
  2. Construction Inspection Fee: The actual direct labor costs incurred by the utility; deposit required.
  3. Field Valve Program Fee: $160 + $0.32 per L..F. of pipe in excess of 500 ft. for large (i.e. 3" or larger) meter services; $60 for each installation when included on the main extension improvement plans.
  4. Easement Processing Fee: $345 per document submit-ted to the City as an easement for public utility purposes.
  5. Backflow Plan Check and Inspection: A $100 plan check and inspection fee, plus $20 for each additional connection, shall be submitted for each water service requiring a backflow device.

 

BONDS

A performance bond and a labor and material bond shall be posted for all proposed water facilities that will be dedicated to the City. Such bond shall be posted with the Public Works Department prior to improvement plan approval.

UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS

Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Oversight Fees: $109.50 per hour.

ASSIGNMENT TRANSFER FEE

The Assignment of Rights for Special Facilities under written agreement shall require prior City Council approval and shall be subject to a fee of $300.00 to cover the cost of processing the assignment.

 

CONTRACTOR INSTALLED METERS AND SERVICE INCLUDING:
LARGE METERS (3" AND LARGER), FIRE LINES AND HYDRANTS

The City does not install large meters and fire lines. All labor, equipment, and materials for such services shall be furnished and installed at the applicant’s expense. A plan check and inspection fee of $695.00, plus $90.00 for each additional service connection, shall be required for each application. A $170.00 fee, plus $60.00 for each additional large service connection, will also be required to cover the costs of the field valve program. Backflow plan check and inspection fees also apply.

This brochure lists the fees for the services provided by Water Services of the Anaheim Public Utilities Department. These fees are established to recover costs associated with specific projects. NOTE: City installed services and meters shall be limited to a maximum of 3 connections. If more than 3 small service connections are required, the applicant shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials similar to the large meter & fire line.
