Trash Enclosure Design Standards

The Trash Bin Enclosure Design Standard provides the sturdy design required for new trash bin enclosures in Anaheim. Please use this design in your building plans or call the Streets and Sanitation Division at (714) 765-6836 if you wish to discuss an alternative design.

Standard Drawings for Enclosures

Trash barrels do not usually require a trash enclosure but must be screened from public view. Please plan for an area to store a minimum of two barrels out of public view. The dimensions of the trash barrels are as follows:

Height 41.5"
Width 32.5"
Depth 38"

The Trash Truck Turn-Around Standard indicates the minimum area required for an on site trash truck turn around.
