Street Sweeping and Parking Control/Citations
Our goal is to keep all public streets, alleys, and parking facilities free from litter and debris and to maintain street durability and an attractive environment. To accomplish this we sweep major streets and residential streets weekly, except during periods of inclement weather.
Street Sweeping
All streets will be swept on a weekly basis, weather permitting. If it is raining at 7:00 AM we will determine at that time whether sweeping will be scheduled for the day. To find out the street sweeping day in your area, click here.
The following holidays are observed in the City of Anaheim. The streets may be swept on some of these holidays but parking citations "will not" be issued.

Parking Control/Citations
Signs warning motorists of "No Parking for Street Sweeping" restrictions are posted every 250 feet on main streets such as State College and Lincoln and also at the entrances to residential tracts.
If you wish to challenge a Street Sweeping Parking Violation, you must fill out an "Initial Review" form. To request a form, please call (714) 765-4444. The law mandates this be done within 21 days of the date of the "Notice of Parking Violation" or within 14 days of the date the "Delinquent Notice of Parking Violation" was mailed. Processing instructions are included with the form.
The results of the Initial Review will be mailed to you.
If you do not respond within the time limits indicated above, you will not be able to challenge the parking violation and must pay the penalty with no other recourse available to you. (Reference California Vehicle Code Section 40215.)
