Downtown Community Center

The Downtown Anaheim Community Center is conveniently located in central Anaheim. Completed in the fall of 1998, this unique craftsman style facility hosts equally unique activities for diverse generations, cultures, and interest. The Community Center's Assembly Hall spans over 4,200 square feet with beautiful hard wood floors and an over twelve foot high ceiling offering an attractive space for wedding receptions, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, and so much more. Our beautifully landscaped patio can be dressed up with cocktail tables and used to host guests before or during your special event.

The 28,000 square foot facility contains a Senior Activity Center as well as a Human Services Component. Lastly, the community center also houses an art gallery, various meeting rooms, and a 4,000 square foot assembly hall with an adjoining courtyard.

Family Movie Nights at the Downtown Anaheim Community Center

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
Rental Hours: The Downtown Anaheim Community Center is open daily 7 days a week. Hours are subject to change due to programming and class schedules.

The following spaces are available for rent at this facility. Please call to set up an appointment for a personal tour or to get detailed information on rental fees and availability.

Assembly Room
4,000 square feet, divisible into four small rooms, with an adjoining courtyard. Includes all necessary amenities for receptions. An attached kitchen is available upon request.

Visual Arts Room
900 square feet of space that host activities such as painting, lapidary, and ceramics classes.

Performing Arts Room
1,000 square feet designed to accommodate a multitude of activities. Equipped with specialized flooring for dance or theater and an 8-foot mirrored wall with adjustable ballet bar. The room is acoustically treated for optimum sound.

Board Room
Accommodates up to 20 people and is equipped with a coffee ar, projection screen, dry erase board, and DVD system.

Weingart and Rotary Club Rooms
Comfortably accommodates 20-40 people; complete with coffee bar, dry erase boards, and audiovisual equipment.

Senior Activity Center
Consists of 5,900 square feet of the Downtown Anaheim Community Center complex and is accessible through its own separate entrance or through the main Community Center corridor.

Active Older Adult Program
The City of Anaheim coordinates and implements this program including a variety of classes, social service and assistance programs, recreational programs, a transportation program and a nutrition program. For further detailed program information, please call (714) 765-4510

Travel Office
Assists in arranging sightseeing trips, excursions, hotels, transportation, and other travel services for members of the Anaheim Senior Citizens Club. Conveniently located near the Center Street entrance of the Senior Wing, which facilitates easier passenger loading and unloading.

Gift Shop
Cooperative boutique filled with treasures hand-crafted by talented artisans of the Anaheim Senior Citizens Club. Proceeds from the sale of items benefit the Anaheim Senior Citizens Club.

Human Services

Located at the east end of the center, the Human Services Section includes:

  • Legal Assistance
  • Youth and Adult Job Placement
  • Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
  • Bilingual Referral Assistance for food, shelter, and many county-wide community resources
  • English As A Second Language classes

The Center Gallery
