LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE (LIHEAP) PROGRAM -- Anaheim residents could qualify to receive financial assistance to help pay their utility bill and other energy needs. To be eligible for LIHEAP, your household income must be less than $42,400 for a family of four. If you or your family meets the criteria, please contact our Community Action Partnership (CAP) for more information and qualification guidelines. If you are approved, Anaheim Public Utilities will work with LIHEAP to make sure your home receives continued water and electrical service while awaiting assistance payment. Dusk to Dawn Light Installation -- Free installation of an energy-efficient high pressure sodium or fluorescent light fixture equipped with a photosensor control. Photosensors enable lights to automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn.
Residential Rehabilitation Loan Program and Grants For Energy Efficiency -- Grants for energy efficient improvements during rehabilitation of existing single-family and multifamily units; to be offered with 3% Block Grants for customers who are at or below 80% of the Orange County median income.
Income-Qualified Senior or Disabled Customer Energy Credit -- A 10% reduction on electric bills for low-income seniors or long-term disabled customers at or below 80% of the Orange County median income.
Weatherization -- In partnership with the Community Action Partnership of Orange County, contractors make home repairs, replace inefficient appliances and install other energy saving measures as needed.
