With the adoption of the 2008 California Energy Code in July 2009, there are new document and process requirements for certain permits effective January 1, 2010. Click here for a summary of the changes for residential permits.
Please make sure you have the required documents complete when you come to apply for a permit. Without these forms, we will not be able to process your permit the same day.
Please note there are also new requirements for non-residential permits. The California Energy Commission has all regulations, manuals, and forms available online at: http://www.energy.ca.gov/title24/2008standards. Some helpful links are provided below.

Projects issued on or before December 31, 2009
The 2005 Energy Code applies to non-residential projects issued before December 31, 2009. You can access the 2005 Non-Residential Compliance Manual online at: http://www.energy.ca.gov/title24/2005standards/nonresidential_manual.html.
