Renew Your Business License

It is now possible to renew your business license in 4 convenient methods.

1. Online

You can now renew your business tax certificate online using your MasterCard or Visa credit card. If any information printed on your renewal form is incorrect, you must renew by mail or in person to update any changes. Please contact our office, if you have any questions.

Online Process:
We recommend that you complete your business license tax renewal notice first, so you have all the information needed to complete the online renewal.
1. Please locate the Tax Cert# found on the top left corner of your renewal form.
Enter the number including the letters “BUS” into the box.
2. Enter the Pin number assigned to you via your Renewal Notice and click Submit.
3. Verify your business information and E-mail. Please note an E-mail is required for future renewal activity. After verifying your information click the button "Business Info Verified."
4. Enter in the information required to calculate your renewal fees and click Calculate. You will need to enter the information you supplied on your completed renewal form.
5. Click Pay Fee, enter your credit card information (please note the CVV2 is the 3 digit security code normally listed on the back of your credit card) and click Process. Print a copy of your receipt for your records.
To avoid errors or duplicate payments Do Not Use the Refresh or Back Button.
6. You have completed the online payment process. Please allow two to three weeks to receive your new business tax certificate by mail.

2. Phone

You can now renew your business tax certificate by phone using your MasterCard or Visa credit card. Please contact our office at (714) 765-5194. Payments via phone will be accepted Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM with the exception of holidays. Please be sure to have your business tax certificate number available.

3. Mail

Courtesy renewal notices are mailed on the 15th of every month preceding the expiration of your business tax certificate. If you choose the option to mail in your payment, please be sure to have your payment postmarked by the United States Post Office on or before your delinquent date as listed on the bottom left corner of your renewal notice. Failure to meet this deadline will result in additional penalties due.

When submitting your payment, please be sure to read your renewal notice in its entirety with special attention to the middle section titled, “Calculation of Total Amount Due”. This section provides specific instructions in order to calculate the correct amount due.

Please be aware failure to receive a renewal notice does not relieve the business owner of his/her responsibility to renew. Business licenses are not transferable. A new application is required for changes to business name, business address or ownership type. 4. In Person

You can renew your business license or apply for a new business license at our office and receive your license the same day. We are located at 200 S. Anaheim Blvd., First Floor. Our office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Please arrive no later than 4:30 PM to receive your business tax certificate the same day. We accept payments by check, MasterCard, Visa or debit card.

Please note a new application is required for any changes to business name, business address or ownership type. If you have any of these changes please download an application, complete and return to our office by 4:30 PM to ensure you will have sufficient time to complete the application process and receive your business tax certificate that day.
