In 2011, the City of Anaheim was awarded $334,850 from the Strategic Growth Council under the Sustainable Communities Planning Grant and Incentives Program to prepare a Specific Plan for Anaheim Canyon.

In late 2011/early 2012, workshops were held with City Council, Planning Commission, Anaheim Canyon Advisory Group and the Community to gain input and provide public awareness for this project. The video of the City Council workshop, held on October 11, 2011, is available via this link.

On May 31, 2013, the City released the Draft Anaheim Canyon Specific Plan on this webpage for public review. Workshops to present the Draft Specific Plan and solicit input will be held later this summer on dates yet to be determined. In addition, an environmental impact report will be prepared for the project. City Council review of the Final Specific Plan and Environmental Impact Report is anticipated in 2014.
