In 2011, the City of Anaheim was awarded $334,850 from the Strategic Growth Council under the Sustainable Communities Planning Grant and Incentives Program to prepare a Specific Plan for Anaheim Canyon. In late 2011/early 2012, workshops were held with City Council, Planning Commission, Anaheim Canyon Advisory Group and the Community to gain input and provide public awareness for this project. The video of the City Council workshop, held on October 11, 2011, is available via this link. In May, 2013, the City released the Draft Anaheim Canyon Specific Plan on this webpage for public review. An Open House and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) Scoping Meeting was held on November 12, 2013 at the Kaiser Permanente, Kraemer Medical Office Building located in Anaheim Canyon. A link to the presentation is provided below. The purpose of this event was to present the Draft Specific Plan and Developer’s Toolkit (see link below) and solicit input on the scope of environmental analysis to be included in the EIR. City Council review of the Final Specific Plan and Environmental Impact Report is anticipated in 2014.
