Apprenticeship: Opportunity is Knocking
You've just returned from courageously honoring your commitment to your country, and now you're ready to concentrate on what life has to offer next. The Department of Industrial Relations' Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) has programs that can help you look forward to a future of employment and possibilities. The apprenticeship programs and the on-the-job-training (OJT) program allow you to learn the skills for a lifelong career, while earning money and collecting your Montgomery GI Bill benefit. There are a wide variety of career opportunities that include not only construction related trades but healthcare, manufacturing, firefighting, culinary and auto mechanics, among others.

CSU Fullerton Veterans Student Services
Veterans Student Services (VSS) assists veterans at California State University, Fullerton in successfully navigating the academic environment through guidance, support services, and resources. VSS is committed to offering personalized services to veterans by providing a unique learning community that facilitates the veterans social and academic integration into the university.

Fullerton College Veterans Resource Center
The Veterans Resource Center at Fullerton College is dedicated to provide support for all veterans, spouses, active military personnel, and dependents who wish to enroll at Fullerton College, and to assist in answering all your questions regarding accessing your veteran's educational benefits.

Post-9/11 GI Bill
The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service after September 10, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

Santa Ana College Veterans Affairs Office
The Veterans Affairs Office housed in the Veterans Resource Center assists veterans and dependents eligible to receive educational benefits. This office provides support by assisting eligible students in completing appropriate applications. The VA office generally acts as a liaison between the veteran and/or eligible dependent and the college as well as other government agencies.

UC Irvine Veteran Services
UCI Veteran Services is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for veterans, reservists, and their dependents. We provide assistance in obtaining the educational benefits to which they are entitled. The center is responsible for submitting entitlement requests for new and continuing students to the V.A., answering any questions veteran students or dependents may have concerning their educational benefits and providing resources and programs to assist veterans in navigating their transition to civilian and student life.
