On June 18, 2013, the Anaheim City Council adopted a Fiscal Year 2013/14 budget that prioritizes the needs of Anaheim's residents and neighborhoods, and positions Anaheim for continued success. The balanced budget includes provisions dedicated to neighborhood improvements, public infrastructure, public safety and much more.
The FY 2013/14 General Fund budget is not only balanced, but an additional $8.7 million was identified and available for additional enhancements: $3.4 million for ongoing service enhancements and $5.3 million available for one-time community projects. Additionally, this budget projects $20.1 million in reserves, representing approximately 8.2% of the General Fund budget. As you will see, the proposed budget represents a clear and consistent focus on addressing community needs, fostering neighborhood connections, and effective governing for results that strengthen our community.
