Operations Division Commander - Robert Conklin
After serving in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division, Captain Robert C. Conklin began his law enforcement career in 1979 as a Hemet Police Officer. He transferred to the Anaheim Police Department in 1980.
As a Police Officer he has been assigned to Patrol, the Street Crime/Prostitution Suppression Team, the Olympic Planning team, the Street Narcotics Unit, the Field Training Officer Program, Tactical Negotiations Unit, Communications, Air Support Unit, and Major Narcotics Unit.
As a Police Sergeant he has been assigned to Patrol, the Burglary Detail, Tourist Oriented Policing, the Family Crimes Detail, the Sexual Assault Detail, and the Homicide Detail.
As a Lieutenant he has been assigned to Patrol, the Crimes Property Bureau, the Crimes Persons Bureau, the Family Justice Center, as a Special Tactics Detail Commander and as a District Commander.
Robert was promoted to Captain in 2007 and has served as the Operations Support Division Commander, the Special Operations Division Commander and the Investigations Division Commander.
Captain Conklin has a Masters Degree in Emergency Services Administration from Cal State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State University, Fullerton. He is a graduate of the Supervisory Leadership Institute, the Executive Development Course, Command College and the F.B.I. National Academy.
