Operations Support Division Commander - Mark Cyprien
After growing up in the City of Anaheim, Mark Cyprien started his law enforcement career as a cadet with the Anaheim Police Department in 1985. In 1989, Mark was hired as a Fullerton Police Officer and was assigned to the Patrol Division. After two years, he transferred back to the Anaheim Police Department in 1991.
As a Police Officer he was assigned to Patrol, the Gang Enforcement Detail, the Crime Task Force and the Street Narcotics Unit.
In 2001, Mark was promoted to Police Sergeant. He was been assigned to Patrol, the Tourist Oriented Policing Detail and the Internal Affairs Bureau.
In 2005, Mark was promoted to Lieutenant. He has been assigned to Patrol, the Homeland Security Bureau, Crimes Property Bureau and the Traffic/Special Events/ Resort District Bureau.
In 2013, Mark was promoted to Captain. He has served as the Operations Support Division Commander and is currently responsible for Personnel & Training Bureau, the Community Services Bureau, the Detention Bureau and the Community Policing Bureau.
Captain Cyprien has a Masters Degree in Emergency Services Administration from Cal State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State University, Fullerton. He is a graduate of the Supervisory Leadership Institute.
