The Anaheim Health Fair, with the help of our founding partners at GBS Linens, Inc. and Anekant Community Center, will celebrate its ninth anniversary in 2015. Dr. Nitin Shah and Mr. Pravin Mody have dedicated their time and expertise to organize health fairs that ensure individuals and families throughout Anaheim can enjoy free access to basic medical attention.
This is the second year in a row the Anaheim Health Fair will be hosted by the Anaheim Convention Center, and it also marks the beginning of an innovative partnership with Remote Area Medical (RAM), a non-profit organization dedicated to holding large-scale free health clinics around the globe. Joining with RAM has allowed the Anaheim Health Fair to expand to a three day event (Friday, May 29-Sunday, May 31), that will set new standards of excellence for both size and service.
The Anaheim Health Fair will continue to provide free physical exams; heart checks; cholesterol screenings; diabetes and anemia tests; women’s services; along with chiropractic and acupuncture services that our patients have come to rely on. With RAMs support, the Health Fair will be able to offer up to 100 Dental Chairs each day, which will allow participating dentists to provide thousands of people with dental cleanings, extractions, fillings and many other services over the course of the three day event. In addition, the free Health Fair will also provide eye exams and up to 300 pairs of prescription eyeglasses each day.
The sky is the limit for this free community event, and we would like to invite you and your loved ones to join us to receive these free medical services. Even if you do not need medical care, we ask that you join us as a volunteer. We are seeking trained medical staff as well as motivated individuals that can help with event administration. Please visit www.CA.RAMUSA.ORG to sign up as a Volunteer, or visit www.anaheim.net/healthfair for more information. Please call 714-765-4610 for any further questions. Se habla Espanol.
