Senior Programs - Downtown Anaheim Community Center

The City of Anaheim provides an array of programs and services to benefit the health and well being of citizen’s over the age of fifty. The active adult programs available range from social and recreational activities to programs that help older adults maintain their independence as long as possible in a caring and supportive environment.

The City of Anaheim offers a transportation program for Anaheim active older adults 60+ years of age. Transportation service is available to locations within a 10 mile radius of your home.

You may use the Senior Wheels Program from any residence located in the City of Anaheim to the nearest City of Anaheim Community Center or Library for the purpose of using the site or connecting with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) ACCESS program, or the Congregate Meal Program offered at the Brookhurst Community Center.

Non-Emergency Medical Appointments
Transportation to non-emergency medical appointments is available within the City limits and to the following medical office.

St. Jude Medical Center
101 E. Valencia Mesa, Fullerton
St. Joseph Medical Center
101 W. Stewart Dr., Orange

Use the Senior Wheels Transportation Program to shop within the 10 mile radius of your home or you may also travel to any of the following shopping centers:

Buena Park Mall
8030 On the Mall, Buena Park
The Village of Orange
1500 E. Village Way, Orange
Savi Ranch Shopping Center
Savi Ranch Parkway, Yorba Linda

Vouchers must be purchased in advance and prices are as follows:

  • 6   one way rides - $12.00
  • 10 one way rides - $20.00
  • 20 one way rides - $40.00
